Ooredoo has announced that its Ooredoo tv service will be available to customers with copper ADSL Internet connections.
Previously, Ooredoo’s next-generation smart service was only available for Ooredoo fibre customers, but, following the new service update, all Ooredoo Internet customers can have access to Ooredoo tv.
The update enables approximately 20,000 customers still using copper connections to upgrade to the new entertainment service with no additional costs, including all legacy Mozaic TV subscribers and Ooredoo Internet customers on copper ADSL lines.
Fatima Sultan al-Kuwari, director of Community and Public Relations at Ooredoo Qatar, said: “Ooredoo is striving to make our leading entertainment service available for everyone, so that people can enjoy on-demand films and series, and feature-filled packages offering the very best in international programming.”
Ooredoo tv customers on copper will be able to subscribe to the full Ooredoo tv extra packages or basic bundle ‘essentials’, as well as enjoy the Ooredoo ‘On Demand’ library full of movies, series, music and more.
Ooredoo began its national door-to-door TV upgrade programme in August, which aims to seamlessly upgrade all Mozaic tv customers to the award-winning Ooredoo tv service on their doorstep.
The new update enables 100% of customers on Mozaic tv to embrace and enjoy Ooredoo tv services, including ‘Movies on Demand’. The upgrade has no charge for installation or for the new Set-Top-Box device that Ooredoo supplies.
Broadband customers are also included in Ooredoo’s TV entitlement programme, which also started in August. Under this campaign, broadband customers are visited via a door-to-door campaign, and immediately upgraded to Ooredoo tv.
Ooredoo tv is available now via Ooredoo Shops, Starlink, TechnoBlue, and Jumbo outlets. The service has no upfront charges, no equipment costs, and no ongoing contracts.
