PM holds talks with Kuwaiti leaders

The Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabah met Qatar’s Prime Minister and Interior Minister HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani at Bayan Palace in Kuwait yesterday.
At the outset of the meeting, HE the Premier and Interior Minister conveyed the greetings and best wishes of HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to the emir of Kuwait, and his wishes of further progress and prosperity to the Kuwaiti people.
The Emir of Kuwait reciprocated the HH the Emir’s greetings and wishes and wished further growth and prosperity to the Qatari people.
Talks during the meeting dealt with the relations between Qatar and Kuwait and ways of enhancing them.
The meeting was attended by the Crown Prince of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabah and several ministers.
Members of the official delegation accompanying HE the Prime Minister also attended the meeting.
HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani also met the Prime Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Jaber al-Mubarak al-Hamad al-Sabah, in the Bayan Palace yesterday.
Talks during the meeting dealt with the relations between Qatar and Kuwait and aspects of enhancing them.
The meeting was attended by members of the official accompanying delegation and Kuwaiti ministers.
Earlier on arrival HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani and his accompanying delegation were welcomed at Kuwait International Airport by Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah al-Khalid al-Hamad al-Sabah, Kuwait’s Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohamed al-Khalid al-Hamad al-Sabah, and Qatar’s ambassador to Kuwait Hamad bin Ali al-Henzab.
Later in the afternoon, the Prime Minister met Kuwait’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Mohamad al-Khalid al-Hamad al-Sabah, at the headquarters of the Interior Ministry in Kuwait City.
Talks during the meeting dealt with co-operation between Qatar and Kuwait and means of enhancing them, especially in the field of security co-operation.
Later the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior attended a luncheon banquet hosted by Kuwait’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior at the headquarters of the Interior Ministry.
The banquet was attended by several ministers and senior officials.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh returned to the Doha yesterday, ending an official visit to Kuwait.
He was seen off from Kuwait International Airport of by Kuwait’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Mohamed al-Khalid al-Hamad al-Sabah, and Qatar’s ambassador to Kuwait, Hamad bin Ali al-Henzab.
