Qatar was in complete control of the game from start to finish, despite the Croatian goalkeeper’s big display. Markovic was the top scorer for Qatar with 10 goals, followed by Rafael with six. Qatar is part of Group A along with Tunisia, France, Denmark, Croatia and Argentina. They are coached by world-class manager Valero Rivera from Spain. Meanwhile, Qatari table tennis player Li Ping has reached the second round of the Olympic event, beating Hungary’s Adam Pattantyus 4-0. The table tennis event will keep going until August 16. The Qatari player will face Germany’s Dimitrij Ovtcharov in the next round. The latter is the champions of Europe and the bronze medallist of the London Olympics 2012. Commenting on yesterday’s match,  Ping said he found it difficult against Pattantyus in the first two games, but once he established the lead, the game became easier.
