Scorching conditions are expected in Qatar on Tuesday along with strong winds in some places by midday, the Met department has said.

The mercury level is likely to reach as high as 47C in the Al Khor area and hover around 45C-mark in several other places, including Doha, according to the forecast.
The wind speed may go up to 24 knots in some inshore areas at times.
The forecast for inshore areas also says it will be “hot to very hot” during the day and slight to blowing dust is also expected at times with some clouds.
Offshore areas, meanwhile, are likely to see hazy to misty conditions along with some clouds.
The mercury level, which had dropped in Doha and other parts of the country of late, has started increasing again. On Monday, it reached a high of 46C in Sheehaniyah, Batna and Turayna, followed by 45C in the Qatar University area, Dukhan, Al Rayyan and Al Khor, among other places.
The maximum temperature on Tuesday will be 47C in Al Khor, 45C in Doha and Dukhan, and 43C in Abu Samra.
