HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, HH the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani have sent cables to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud of Saudi Arabia condoling the death of Princess Noora bint Msa’aed ain Abdul Rahman al-Saud.

Ivory Coast minister
HE the Adviser at the Emiri Diwan and Qatar’s candidate to the post of the director-general of the Unesco Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz al-Kuwari met Ivory Coast’s Minister of Culture and Francophonie Maurice Bandaman in Paris yesterday.
Dr al-Kuwari presented his election programme and vision for the development of the Unesco. Talks also dealt with the importance of Africa and the need to support programmes relevant to Unesco, particularly in the areas of education and heritage.
The Minister of Culture and Francophone in Ivory Coast, praised Qatar’s role in supporting Unesco in these critical areas.
Dr al-Kuwari will take part today in the International Symposium on Cultural Diplomacy in the Arab World due in the German capital Berlin and is scheduled to present a paper entitled ‘A Diplomatic Culture in A New International Approach’ in the opening session of the Symposium organised by the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy.
