Director General of Katara Cultural Village Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti yesterday met Bangladesh ambassador to Qatar Achod Ahmed.
Talks dealt with cultural co-operation between Qatar and Bangladesh and plans to organise an exhibition by Bangladeshi artists.
Bangladesh’s ambassador, in a statement, praised Katara and its role in “introducing different cultures and achieving humanitarian convergence through various events and activities that it provides”.
He expressed his pleasure at organising an exhibition aimed at introducing Bangladesh’s culture and its various arts to Katara visitors, praising it as “a true touristic and cultural destination that honours the State of Qatar”.
He said that his country is looking forward to developing its cultural relations with Qatar in the future through Katara.  
Meanwhile, Dr al-Sulaiti welcomed plans to host the art exhibition affirming that Katara is keen to provide all the facilities for the proposals that contribute to enriching the cultural scene in Qatar.
