Birla Public School’s summer camp, “Summer Cool In,” got off to a rollicking start recently. Open to children studying in classes KG-I to VIII, the camp will help develop their skills by engaging them in art, craft, dance, painting, public speaking, sports, games, swimming, yoga, dumb charade, mimicry and literary activities. At the opening, school chairman Lukose K Chacko said, “The weeks ahead are filled with fun and entertainment, more importantly; all of you are going to gain great knowledge and skills all through the camp days. It is as if you were taking a sugar coated vitamin pill. Sugar coating will melt away in the mouth, but real absorption and assimilation of vitamins will take place later on.” The seven weeks long programme will conclude on August 31.
