Astad Project Management and Hemaya Security Services have signed a strategic security co-operation agreement.
The partnership aims to develop and strengthen co-operation between the two companies in joint ventures.
The agreement was signed by Astad CEO Ali al-Khalifa and Hemaya executive manager Khalid bin Imran al-Imran in the presence of Fahad bin Abdulrahman al-Khater, chairman and
managing director of Hemaya.
Al-Khalifa said the signing of the agreement between the two parties marks the start of several projects between them. These include major projects such as the development of Hemaya’s headquarters as well as a high-level training centre and accommodation for staff in Mesaimeer and
Al Khor.
“Hemaya will prepare a study for Astad’s security needs on all projects. This agreement has come about due to Astad’s growing diversification with the development and management of major infrastructure and building projects throughout Qatar. We manage all phases of our projects effectively by applying the best international practices in the construction sector and this agreement will further build upon and add to the experience and knowledge we offer in our services,” al-Khalifa added.
On his part, al-Imran said: “Hemaya has always sought to provide services and experience professionally through strategic agreements to ensure continuity. This new strategic partnership with Astad helps us achieve this goal, which is the common desire of both parties – to develop and provide the best and finest consultancy services in the field of security. This is an integral part of the vision and objectives of Hemaya.”
This venture between the two national companies is an example of State-supported economic policy under the economic plan for Qatar National Vision 2030, a statement notes.
