Strong winds are again expected in some parts of the country during the day along with poor visibility due to dust, the Qatar Met department has said in its forecast for today.
Offshore areas, too, are likely to see strong winds along with high seas today.
The weather office had, on Tuesday, said windy conditions were likely to prevail in the country until the end of next week. This, in turn, was likely to result in blowing dust and poor visibility. It also issued a warning for strong winds and high waves in offshore areas.
The forecast for inshore areas today says it will be hot during the day with slight to blowing dust in some places at times, while slightly dusty conditions have been forecast for offshore areas.
The wind speed may go up to 30 knots in some inshore areas at times and 28 knots in offshore areas, where the sea level may rise to 9ft.
Visibility, meanwhile, may drop to 2km or less in some places.
Yesterday, a maximum temperature of 46C was recorded in Turayna, followed by 45C in the Qatar University area, Abu Hamour and Messaied, and 44C in the Doha airport area, Sheehaniya and Karana.
