The Gulf Organisation for Industrial Consulting (Goic) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Kaizen Management Consulting, which specialises in consulting services and training.
The MoU was signed at Goic’s headquarters in Doha by Kaizen director-general Dr Saad bin Ibrahim al-Khalaf and Goic assistant secretary-general for Industrial Projects Sector Dr Ali Hamed al-Mulla, on behalf of Goic secretary-general Abdulaziz bin Hamad al-Ageel.
Al-Mulla said the MoU reflects both parties’ “belief that co-operation reinforces their expertise in the area of consulting and investments.”
“The MoU would pave the way for co-operation and consultation in the industrial and economic fields, which is in the best interest of the Gulf industrial sector. This MoU is yet another effort to boost the GCC industrial sector and build Gulf cadres in the area of consultancy, particularly industrial consulting services,” al-Mulla said.
Al-Khalaf added that the MoU “would contribute to the creation of a framework for the mutual activities between Kaizen and Goic to strengthen the capacities and skills of consulting, investment, and training staff, particularly business entrepreneurs.”
In addition, the MoU aims to facilitate co-operation and coordination, and create a business relationship between GOIC and Kaizen.
“It also aims at laying the foundations of business partnerships and achieving desired benefit by co-operating in areas of mutual interest, in addition to helping entrepreneurs and investors to benefit from business opportunities that are available,” al-Mulla said.
Co-operation between the two parties aims to raise awareness and build “a culture” of Kaizen’s concepts of quality, improving performance, reducing wastage, building capacities of consultants and workers in targeted factories and companies, offering consulting services to factories, companies, and public sector, and localising knowledge.
Furthermore, the co-operation would result in conferences, seminars, lectures, visits, programmes, training projects, and workshops in GCC countries. It also helps create incubators to build the capacities of consultants, implementing institutional development projects and solutions, offering consulting services and studies, bidding for governmental training and consultancy projects, translating books, establishing research centres, and implementing joint researches and studies.
