International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS) president Mohamed Hanzab was selected as a member to a new advisory committee formed by the Italian Sports Center (CSI) to formulate and follow up the implementation of international initiatives in the field of sports and community.
The selection of Hanzab came during an expanded meeting held at the Italian National Olympic Committee (Coni) in Rome.
The CSI advisory committee for international initiatives includes 17 prominent Italian personalities in the fields of sports, politics, culture and media, among them: Italian National Olympic Committee president Giovanni Malago, European Parliament member Silvia Costa, and Italian business tycoon and FC Internazionale Milano honorary president Massimo Moratti.
Italian newspapers highlighted the formation of the advisory committee, which they said will boost the CSI initiatives that aim at using sport as a means to help people in need. The first initiative will be the organisation of an international campaign for the volunteers during the Rio de Janeiro Olympics in collaboration with the ‘Save the Dream’ programme.
Hanzab is known for his call for unifying global efforts to address problems, and making sports a means to change the world and create a better future.
Hanzab expressed his pride to be selected as a member of the advisory committee which includes prominent figures from all areas of the Italian society and works for a noble humanitarian goals through sport under the umbrella of the Italian Sports Council.
