Qatar Football Association (QFA) on Tuesday announced scores of prizes for fans who turn up to watch the Emir Cup final tomorrow.
The prizes which will be offered through a raffle draw and are a part of the biggest date on the Qatari football calendar.
Giving details of the preparations managed by the organising committee, QFA secretary general Mansoor al-Ansari said on Tuesday: “Yes, there’s going to be a lot of prizes on offer for those who attend the final. This is the biggest football tournament in Qatar and we expect a house full.”
He added: “The Emir Cup final will start at 7:00pm at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium. A total of 10 Toyota vehicles besides iPhones and Fifty One East coupons could be won by those who attend the final.”
Al-Ansari said: “Our preparations are complete. Everything related to the event is in place. We expect a full house for the final between Al Sadd and Lekhwiya.”
Captain Mubarak Bilal Ali, representing Ministry of Interior, was also present at the media briefing.
Al-Ansari said those wanting to purchase tickets can do so by visiting shopping malls around Doha and the ticket counters on the day of the final at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
Al-Ansari said QFA will be hosting regional football chiefs and secretaries general for key meetings the next day. He said the regional football family is expected to attend the final.
The QFA secretary general said gates will be thrown open to the public two hours prior to the kick-off time.
Captain Ali urged the fans to reach the match venue at least two hours in advance to avoid traffic congestion. He advised the fans to obey traffic rules and follow road signs to seek their free parking spots.
Meanwhile, the QFA also announced that young Qatari referee Salman Falahi will officiate the much-awaited Emir Cup final.
