Ooredoo and International Bank of Qatar (ibq) have announced a partnership combining the Nojoom and thanq programmes.
Nojoom members who are enrolled in ibq’s thanq programme will now be able to convert thanq points into Nojoom points, according to a statement.
ibq cardholders can now get 2,500 Nojoom points for every 5,000 thanq points and benefit from Nojoom’s wide-ranging list of partners, including retail chains, electronics, travel, hotels, insurance, fast food in addition to Ooredoo products and services. This conversion can now be made at a click of a button via thanqrewards.com.qa
Fatima Sultan al-Kuwari, director of community and public relations at Ooredoo, said: “This partnership is the latest in a series of initiatives designed to enhance our members’ experience and highlight the incredible range of rewards provided by our Nojoom programme just for doing everyday tasks.”
Hassan al-Mulla, head of retail banking at ibq, said: “The Nojoom programme and ibq’s thanq rewards programme are a natural partnership aimed at showing the multiple benefits customers receive from using their ibq credit cards, in an effort to demonstrate how much we value our customers’ loyalty.”
The partnership has been designed in an effort to increase the number of banking partners for Nojoom members and will allow those enrolled in ibq’s thanq rewards programme to redeem accumulated thanq points into Nojoom points and benefit from an array of exclusive experiences, the statement notes.
thanq allows customers to accumulate points on purchases, as well as banking products and services, and redeem them at over 800 airlines, 160,000 hotels, car rental services and now Nojoom points from Ooredoo.
Every Ooredoo customer with a Qatar ID can sign up for Nojoom, which enables members to earn Nojoom points each time they purchase an Ooredoo service or use Nojoom’s earn partners.
Points can then be used to redeem offers at over 150 Nojoom partners, including Landmark Mall, leading five-star hotels, Géant Hypermarket, Centrepoint, Starlink, Regency Travel and Tours, popular family locations such as Chilli’s, Applebees and retail shops across The Pearl-Qatar.
