Amlak, an organisation responsible for the strategic management of Qatar Foundation real estate assets, has been awarded by HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani for its sustainability efforts at the fourth anniversary celebrations of Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa)’s National 
Programme for Conservation and Energy Efficiency (Tarsheed). 
The certificate was presented to Amlak CEO Abdul Aziz al-Emadi in the presence of HE of Minister of Energy and Industry Dr Mohamed bin Saleh al-Sada and Kahramaa president Essa bin Hilal al-Kuwari. 
Amlak was honoured for its efforts and commitment to launch sustainability initiatives with its goal to protect and enhance Qatar’s environment. 
Through this award, Amlak was acknowledged and thanked for partnering with Tarsheed to launch the first “Green Hospitality Award” in Qatar. The new award introduced this year commends businesses within Qatar’s hospitality industry that incorporate, support and promote best practices in conservation of energy, water and other natural resources. 
Amlak was also recognised for its ongoing efforts to incorporate best practice in the conservation of natural resources during its construction and development of the Qatar International Golf Club.     
Al-Emadi said: “To be presented with this recognition is an honour. Sustaining, protecting and enhancing the environment of Qatar is at the heart of everything we do as a business.”
Kahramaa conservation and energy efficiency manager Abdul Aziz al-Hammadi added, “I would particularly like to thank Amlak for partnering with us to launch the ‘Green Hospitality Award’.”
