Qatar is participating in the 58th International Al Qur’an Recital and Memorisation Assembly in Malaysia. Qatar is represented by Al-Numan Imran Abdul Hamid, who is taking part in the “Memorisation and Recitation of the Holy Qur’an” category. Some 75 Islamic countries are represented in the current round, which lasts eight days. Last year Qatar’s representative Abdulaziz Abdullah al-Hamri was ranked first.
