There are chances of scattered rain in parts of Qatar on Friday and thundershowers by Saturday night, the Met department has said.
It also issued a sea warning in view of the thundery conditions, strong winds and high seas expected in offshore areas on Saturday.
The temperature during this period will be around the average level for this time of the year, ranging between 25C and 38C in Doha and higher than that in the central and western areas, according to the weather office.
In a statement on Thursday, the Met department said an extension of a weak low-pressure system was expected to affect the country from Friday evening until noon Sunday.
Skies are forecast to gradually become cloudy and there is a chance of isolated light to moderate rain, which may become thundery at times over some areas on Saturday night, and a sea warning will also be in effect during the expected thundershowers.
The forecast for inshore areas on Friday is that it will be hot during the day and partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are also expected occasionally. There is a chance of scattered rain in some places at times.
Offshore areas, meanwhile, will see hazy and partly cloudy conditions on Friday and there is a chance of light rain towards the south.
The minimum and maximum temperatures expected in the country on Friday are 22C and 38C, with the forecast for Doha being 25C and 38C.
