Omo, a leading fabric cleaning brand from Unilever, is empowering parents through a nationwide campaign that gives them a chance to contribute to their children’s upbringing by winning money that goes to their education.
Omo brand ambassador and popular Indian actress Kajol Devgan attended an event in Doha on Sunday to add star power to the campaign message and announce its winners.
The initiative allows parents to give their child the freedom to explore and develop new experiences by encouraging outdoor play.
Parents got a chance to win a sum of money to fund their child’s upbringing on the purchase of the 3kg Omo powder pack or the 1.5litre bottle of liquid detergent.
“The central theme of our campaign is empowering parents to let their children explore, experiment and find out about the world on their own. And now, we’re taking Omo’s support a step further by giving parents a sum of money that empowers them to give their children the best upbringing possible,” said Waqas Javed, Unilever Gulf’s director of food & beverages, home care & ice-cream.
“I am very proud to be part of a campaign that supports parents while also encouraging them to set their children free to learn, thrive and grow. As a mom myself, I support Omo’s message of child development and this cause is very close to my heart,” the actress said.
Omo believes that “children should feel free to explore, learn and develop – and sometimes getting a few stains along the way is part of that process. This is how kids learn and express their creativity, without their mothers having to worry about getting dirty as Omo’s unique formulation guarantees 100% effective stain removal”, according to a statement.
