KIMS Qatar Medical Centre (KQMC) has announced that it has obtained the
Australian Council on Healthcare Standards International (ACHSI) accreditation. With this, KQMC becomes the first medical centre in Qatar to achieve the quality milestone, it has said in a statement. The official certificate presentation ceremony was held in Doha recently, where the ACHSI was represented by Dr Desmond Yen, executive director. The event was held in the presence of a number of dignitaries, including Dr Samar Aboulsoud, acting CEO of Qatar Council for Healthcare
Practitioners; R K Singh, deputy chief of mission at the Indian embassy; Dr
Mohamed Sahadulla, chairman of KIMS Group; Jassim Mubarak, chairman of KQMC; Nishad Azeem, executive director of KQMC; Dr Sheriff Sahadulla, executive director, medical, and group CMO; Jacob Thomas, director of operations, and
others. KQMC in Wakrah, a branch of KIMS Healthcare Group, currently has 15
clinics, a laboratory, radiology and physiotherapy departments and a pharmacy.
