HE the Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani yesterday attended a conference on international coalition against terrorism in Rome.
Foreign ministers of 23 countries, including the US and Italy, took part in the conference along with a representative of the European Union.
The Foreign Minister later held a trilateral meeting with US Secretary of State John Kerry and Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni.
The meeting reviewed the latest developments in the region, particularly those in the occupied territories in the light of continuing Israeli escalation, in addition to developments in Syria and Libya.
They also exchanged views on the co-ordination of efforts related to counter-terrorism.
The Foreign Minister also met separately the Italian foreign minister, Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs Borge Brende, Britain’s Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Philip Hammond and Swedish Minister of Foreign Affairs Margot Wallstrom.
They discussed relations and the means to enhance them.
