About 100 passengers of a Dammam-bound Air India Express (IX 381/382) flight from Kozhikode in Kerala were stranded in Doha yesterday after the aircraft developed a ‘technical snag,’ sources said.
A passenger said that the plane, which left Kozhikode around noon Indian time, reached Doha by 2pm, but could not continue its onward journey to Dammam in Saudi Arabia.
It is learnt that the passengers were moved to hotels in Doha by the airline’s Doha office. Some technicians are expected from Mumbai to carry out the necessary maintenance. If everything goes well, the plane will resume its journey before noon today.
