HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani attend the ‘Trade in Islam’ Forum here yesterday.
The Forum was organised by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce in collaboration with Sheikh Eid Charity.
The Forum was attended by a number of ministers, businessmen and members of the Qatar Chamber.
Dr Tariq Swedan, Islamic scholar who specialises in human development, Dr Nabil Al-Awadi Islamic preacher, Dr Mohamed Gohar, member of the Qatar Chamber and Ali al-Abdullah al-Sulaiti, Director General of Sheikh Eid Charity, spoke at the Forum.
The Forum featured a number of topics, including the interest of Islam in trade, and the role of traders in community service, in addition to the social responsibility of traders, and their efforts in the revitalisation of charitable work in collaboration with the institutions involved in this field.
Participants also reviewed the work and achievements of the Qatari charities at home and abroad, and the role played by these institutions in the service desired by the state of the international community.
