New prosecution body is set up
HE the Attorney General Dr Ali bin Fetais al-Marri has issued a decision to establish a prosecution body to deal with environmental and municipal cases. It will be headed by a senior prosecutor and will be part of the organisational structure of the Public Prosecution.

Barshim wins men’s high-jump gold
Mutaz Essa Barshim celebrating after winning men’s high-jump gold at the World Indoor Athletics Championships at Sopot, Poland yesterday. The 22-year-old Barshim, who won world outdoor silver in Moscow last year and Olympic bronze in London, jumped a best of 2.38 metres.
