Senior executives from the infrastructure industry in Qatar met recently at the Canadian embassy to discuss the different infrastructure needs of the country and how they could work together to meet them.
The event was jointly hosted by Canadian companies Skyfold, Gala Systems and Unicel Architectural.
“Doha and Qatar are building up quite rapidly and Canadian firms are ready to help Qataris realise the vision for their country,” said Canadian Ambassador André Dubois. “Canadian companies have the skills needed to get the job done.”
Canadian companies have been involved in many construction projects in Qatar, providing construction and architectural expertise, consulting and programme management services as well as delivering essential building materials.
Major projects in which Canadian companies have taken part include Hamad International Airport, Sidra Medical and Research Centre, National Library, Msheireb Development, Lusail Marina and Lekhwiya Stadium, to name a few.
