HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday met Moroccan Prime Minister Abdelillah Benkirane.
During the meeting they reviewed the relations between the two countries and means to develop them in addition to other topics of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by several members of the official delegation accompanying the Emir.
Earlier in the day the Emir met the Speaker of the House of Counsellors of Morocco Mohamed Cheikh Biadillah. The Emir and Biadillah reviewed a number of matters of mutual concern.
On Friday night HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani attended a dinner banquet hosted by King Mohamed VI in honour of HH the Emir and the accompanying delegation at the Royal Palace in Marrakesh.
The banquet was attended by Moulay Rachid, Prime Minister Abdelilah Benkirane, House Speaker Karim Ghellab, and Speaker of the House of Counsellors Mohamed Cheikh Biadillah, and a number of ministers, senior officials and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Morocco.
Yesterday afternoon the Emir left Marrakesh after a two-day state visit to Morocco.
The Emir was seen off at Marrakesh Airport by Morocco’s Interior Minister Mohamed Hassad, Governor of Marrakesh Mohamed Fawzy, Qatar’s Ambassador to Morocco Abdullah bin Falah al-Dosari, Morocco’s Ambassador to Qatar al-Makki Kawan and senior Moroccan civilian and military officials.
