Yesterday evening, the Emir met with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Saud at Al-Safa Palace in Makkah.
The meeting was attended from the Saudi side by Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, who is also the deputy prime minister and defence minister, and Prince Abdul-Ilah bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, adviser to the Saudi king, and Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, second deputy prime minister and adviser and special envoy of the Saudi king.
It was also attended by members of the delegation accompanying HH the Emir.
“Talks during the meeting dealt with existing fraternal relations between the two countries and ways to develop them in various fields,” QNA said. “The meeting also discussed a number of regional and international issues of common concern, particularly the latest developments in the region,” the agency added.
HH the Emir attended an Iftar banquet hosted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in his honour and the accompanying delegation.

He was seen off upon departure from King Abdul Aziz International Airport by Makkah al-Mukarramah Region Governor Prince Khalid al-Faisal, Minister of State and cabinet member Dr Mussaad bin Mohamed al-Aiban and Qatar’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ali bin Abdullah al-Mahmoud.
