HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, who is also the chairman of Qatar University’s Advisory Board of Trustees, yesterday attended Qatar University graduation ceremony - Class of 2013 male students at Qatar National Convention Centre. The university celebrated the successes of 226 male students from the Class of 2013 at the 36th graduation ceremony. Addressing the graduates and guests, Qatar University president Prof Sheikha Abdulla al-Misnad said that under the chairmanship of HH the Heir Apparent, the university had made great progress as part of efforts to establish itself regionally and internationally. “This day is a proud day for you, your families and all the QU community. Your years of hard work, dedication and commitment have paid off and you stand here now, on the threshold of a new and exciting life,” al-Misnad said. A total of 845 female students are to graduate today at a ceremony which will have Hamad Bin Khalifa University president HE Sheikh Dr Abdullah bin Ali al-Thani as the chief guest.
