The Best Buddies Qatar has held an event to show appreciation and present awards to some members of its clubs who have taken part in a number of activities during the 2012-2013 academic year.
Club members at the College of North-Atlantic in Qatar, Stenden University, students from Shafallah Centre for Children with Special Needs and from Al Noor Institute for Blind People were awarded Best Buddies Qatar certificates of appreciation and participation during the year.
Shafallah Centre arranged a musical event as well as students’ performances including singing and dancing.
CNA-Q club organised a movie activity during which the students from Shafallah Centre enjoyed watching 3D animation Kung Fu Panda 2.
The Stenden University’s club prepared for Shafallah Centre students a cooking workshop titled: “Live life with a little spice” at the Al Anood club in Al-Jazi Gardens 1. The restaurant executive chef Hannes Tinnacher taught the Shafallah students the secrets of cooking special dishes. Among sponsors of the event were Al Faisal Holdings, Al-Jazi Real Estate, Barwa Bank and Al Jaber Watches.
