Al Shahania Stud’s Rawah gallops to victory in the Group II Prix Nefta Bordeaux-Le Bouscat, France.

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa al-Thani owned Rawah (Amer) came up with a dazzling performance to annex the Group II Prix Nefta in Bordeaux-Le Bouscat, France on Monday.
Sporting the colours of Al Shahania Stud, the Francis-Henri Graffard trained Rawah imposed herself with a brilliant turn of foot in only her second career start. Though she was going against her elders and a lot of quality, Rawah placed herself just behind the leader AJS Rudainah (Dahess), in a field running at a moderate pace. AJS Rudainah started to accelerate at the beginning of the last straight but was soon caught by  Rawah and Sahabba. Once into top gear, Rawah quickly got past the favourite, Loraa FR (Mawwod) who was nominated as the best three and four year old filly.
