Tanguy Ngombo, Hassino Ndoye and  Oumar Seck combined for a whopping 71 points as Al Arabi defeated Qatar Sports Club, 84-70, in the Qatar Basketball League last evening.
In a somewhat one-sided match, Ngombo top-scored for either side with 27 points, but Ndoye and Seck were not too far behind on 23 and 21 respectively.
Ngombo played for the full duration of the match and scored 10 field goals, which included two three-pointers. He  also nailed five of his seven free-throws.
Al Arabi led for the most part of the game and consolidated in the third quarter after which they were comfortably ahead at 65-45 which killed off Qatar Sports Club’s chances.
For Qatar Sports Club, Wallace Cox and Mile Ilic were the top scorers with 19 points each, while Jama al-Rahman and Winder O’Brien chipped in with 17 and 15 respectively.
In the second match of the day, Al Shamal thrashed al Wakrah 94-66 with Kosar al-Kader scoring a whopping 51 points.
All of his points came from field goals as Al Shamal completely dominated the hapless Al Wakrah side, for whom Abdelrahman Osama and Mahmoud Hassan scored 16 each.
