As part of its commitment to provide platform for the communities to play football in a fun and competitive environment, Qatar Football Association (QFA) announced that it is organising the 3rd Asian Communities Football Tournament starting today. The tournament will see twelve teams competing for the championship title.
The action-packed tournament is set to take place at QFA’s Football Development pitches from today until May 8.
The opening matches will commence at 8pm with Jordan facing Lebanon and Indonesia facing Nepal. The opening matches will be attended by a number of Asian ambassadors to show their continued support to their communities and the tournament.
The twelve ambassadors that are expected to attend include Indonesian ambassador Deddy Saiful Hadi, Indian ambassador Sanjiv Arora, Japanese ambassador Shingo Tsuda, South Korean ambassador Chung Keejong, Malaysian ambassador Datuk Mohamed Johar, Lebanese ambassador Hassan Najem, Jordanian ambassador Zahi al-Samadi, Nepalese ambassador Ganesh Prasad Dhakal, Sri Lankan ambassador Jayantha Palipane, Thai ambassador Piroon Laisamip, Philippine ambassador Crescente R Relacion and  Chinese ambassador Yue Xiaoyong.
QFA is committed to encourage the community to participate in the football tournaments it organises, thus, allowing the community members to adopt a healthy lifestyle. The tournament has become a well-established platform amongst the communities.
