Seven-strong contingent will represent Pakistan in the 1st Qatar International Taekwondo Open WTF G1 Official Ranking Tournament, which will be held on March 6-9.
Junaid Riaz (-54 Kg Senior), Aamir Sohail (-55 Kg Junior), Ghulam Murtaza (-63 Kg Junior), Mohamed Shafiq (-54 Kg Senior), Mohamed Akif Ali (-47 Kg Junior), Saif Ullah (-63 Kg Senior), Saaim Sikandar Janjua (-61 Kg Cadet) will represent Pakistan at the tournament.
The contingent also consists of two coaches — Syed Sadaqat Hussain and Mohamed Sajjad Akbar.
Participation in this championship will give young athletes exposure at the international level, besides serving as a preparation for the upcoming Asian Championship, which will be held in April in Chinese Taipei.
All the athletes, who perform exceptionally good at the event, are expected to be given an opportunity to participate in Junior Asian Event.
