Losail International Circuit (LIC) will host the fifth round of Qatar Superbike (QSBK) and the sixth round of Qatar Challenge (QCH) this weekend. Both the races will be hosted under floodlights.
Qatari rider Mishal al-Naimi leads the championship with 157 points and hopes to increase the gap over Alex Cudlin, who is second with 134 points. In the last two rounds, Moto2 rider Anthony West raced to four victories and is third in the standings with 100 points. German rider Nina Prinz is fourth, also with 100 points.
Supersport category is led by Lebanese rider Mahmoud Tannir with 161 points. Qatar’s Jassim al-Thani is second with 149 points.
In the last round, the winner was Saudi rider Abdulaziz Binladin, who is fourth with 100 points.
For the Losail Asian Road Racing Series, it will be the last round of the season. Hungarian rider Victoria Kis leads the championship with 160 points.
On Friday, QSBK free practices will be at 4pm and at 6:15pm, with the qualifying practice at 8:15pm. The Superpole will be at 9:35pm. The two races are scheduled for Saturday, March 7, at 7:35pm and 10:10pm.
Going into the sixth round of QCH, Mark Holroyd has a good grip in the championship, with a 111-point lead over Peter de Vido (66 points).
Free and qualifying practices are scheduled for Friday at 7pm and 9pm respectively. The race is on Saturday at 8:45pm.
Grandstand is free for the public.
