With just days to go until swimming’s showpiece event arrives in Qatar, Bahoor the official mascot of the 12th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) has been out and about in Doha. |
Bahoor made a special appearance at Virgin Megastore Villaggio where he posed for photos and interacted with fans, and gave away exclusive FINA World Swimming Championships merchandise and prizes to lucky winners.
Doha 2014 executive director and Qatar Swimming Association (QSA) president Khaleel al-Jabir was also in attendance to meet fans. He commented: “The excitement across the entire community in Qatar is really building ahead of the FINA World Swimming Championships and we saw that in action today. Everyone is looking forward to this event and we can’t wait to open the doors of Hamad Aquatic Centre on five days of fantastic action.”
The 12th FINA World Swimming Championships will bring together the world’s best swimmers at Hamad Aquatic Centre from December 3-7, 2014, with morning heats starting at 9:30am and the fast-action finals taking place at 6pm.
