Aspetar has been signed up as the official Medical Partner for Paris Saint-Germain, one of Europe’s biggest football clubs, for three years.

By signing this agreement, Aspetar, the leading specialised Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital, until the end of the 2016-2017 football season.

Under the new partnership, the Qatar-based hospital will provide its expertise to Paris Saint-Germain medical staff with regards to medical examinations and a thorough athlete health assessment for all Paris Saint-Germain players, which will be ‘Certified by Aspetar’, based on the highest international standards as implemented by Aspetar, world’s leading sports medicine practitioners.

In addition to a team of dedicated researchers and practitioners, the hospital has leading methodologies and cutting-edge technology, thereby providing athletes with total health, physical management and performance strategies. Aspetar also has an innovative state-of-the-art facility, and was accredited as a ‘FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence’ in 2009 by F-MARC and ‘IOC Research Centre for Prevention of Injury and Protection of Athlete Health’ in 2014.

Servicing the needs of sports clubs and federations throughout not only the state of Qatar, but also other international federations, it strives to meet the highest international standards obtainable in its treatment to guide athletes from diagnosis through to rehabilitation and recovery including prevention.
