The featured match this week is the round 10 match between title holders Lekhwiya and Al Arabi. The game is scheduled to take place tomorrow at the Abdullah bin Khalifa stadium at 19:45.

Al Arabi currently sits in 7th place in the league with 13 points after having played 9 games. The Dream Team has won 3 games, drawn 4 and lost 2.

The main problem for Al Arabi is their leaky defence which has let in 10 goals this term. Dan Petrescu has a competent strike force but his main issue will be trying to keep out Lekhwiya who have a potent attacking force of their own.

The main threat for Al Arabi’s defence will be in the shape of the mercurial Vladimir Weiss and Korean attacking midfielder Nam Tae-Hee.

Last week Al Arabi could only manage a goalless draw with Al Shahania and the men in red know that they must up their game, if they harbour any hopes of getting points against the 2014 champs.

Michael Laudrup’s men drew their previous match against a determined Umm Salal and this will work as inspiration for the visitors.

The home side - Lekhwiya have won 7, drawn just once and lost only one game, the stats show that Lekhwiya will be a tough opponent and perhaps one step too far for the visitors.

Last season Lekhwiya came out on top with a 4-1 win in the first half of the season and then in the second half of the season Al Arabi were beat convincingly again, this time 5-2!

So the numbers don’t bode well for Al Arabi, however they have made wholesale changes over the summer and may cause Lekhwiya more problems in this season’s encounter.

Lekhwiya must be particularly wary of Arabi’s top striker, the Nigerian Imoh Ezekiel who has amassed 5 goals so far this season.

So make sure to come along and watch two teams that are set up to attack.

Nourdine Zakri becomes new head coach of Al Wakrah

Al Wakrah Sports Club has decided to part ways with Maher Kenzari, the Tunisian tactician managed to save Al Wakrah last season from relegation but this season the team has again struggled. This season under previous coach Kenzari, the Blue Waves played 9, won 2, drew 1 and lost 6.

He managed to guide ES Sétif to the North African Cup final where his team where crowned champions. He also won the Algeria cup in 2009.

He has also been the technical director at Mouloudia Club d’Oran.

He has already had a taste of the QSL with Al Wakrah in their round 9 clash against Al Ahli which they lost 3-1.
