Doha Golf Club member Ian McInerney destroyed the field with a blistering score of 42 points to win the Pretect October Monthly Mug played on October 17.

The weather on the day was fine which led to the stableford scoring across all divisions being deliciously high.

Ian’s winning score was a total of six-under par as he recorded a gross score of 69. Highlights of his round were gross birdies on holes 7, 8, 10, 12 and 18. His total for both nines was a massive 21 points. The runner-up was  Guy Strandemo with 39 points.

Flight B was won by Jonathan Wall with a score of 40 points with highlights being gross birdies on holes 4 and 17. Andrew Glyde finished in second with 38 points.

Johan Hazejager won Flight C with 42 points with Katsuhara Tsuda the runner-up on 40 points.

The Ladies Division was won by Julia Glover with a total of 35 points.

 

Kim wins October’s Guardian Wealth Medal

Doha Golf Club member Kwang Seok Kim won October’s Guardian Wealth Medal event on countback from two other players, his superior back nine score ensuring the victory.

The event was held recently and the weather was hot and breezy which led to relatively high scoring across all divisions. The course was in great condition despite the tricky conditions.

In Flight A, Kim played very steady golf over the course of his round to win on countback from Mikkel Mathiesen.

Kim scored gross 79 for a nett 70 total. Junior member Mathiesen scored gross 76, nett 70 for the runner up spot.

In Flight B, Arnav Jain was victorious. He scored a gross total of 81 and a handicap of 11 gave him a nett score of 70.

Ben San Jose was runner-up on countback with a 71 nett.

Flight C was won by John Anthony with a nett 71. Junior member Yanis Cherif placed second on countback with a nett72.

The ladies division was won by Beth San Jose with a score of 75 nett.
