Prince Rachid inaugurated the Salon du Cheval d’El Jadida, in its seventh edition in Morocco, yesterday. Prince Rachid visited the stand of the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club (QREC) and was received by its chairman HE Sheikh Mohamed bin Faleh al-Thani.

Prince Rachid expressed his appreciation of the Qatari stand and the Qatari participation in the Salon du Cheval as it adds more dimensions to the already strong ties and relations between the two countries. At the end of the tour, HE Sheikh Mohamed bin Faleh al-Thani presented Prince Rachid a memento. He also presented a memento to HE Abdullah bin Falah al-Dossari, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of Morocco, who was present during the inauguration of the Salon and QREC stand.

Speaking to the media, Sheikh Mohamed said ‘The fourth participation of QREC in the Salon du Cheval d’El Jadida in its seventh edition comes as part of highlighting the achievements of Qatar’s equestrian sport and its continued development and progress thanks to the immense support received from HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar. In addition, the directives of HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa al-Thani and the follow up by HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad al-Thani have been key to the success and achievements. Qatar’s equestrian sport, as a result, has secured for itself a prominent position on the world stage and has become a symbol and an example to be followed on the regional and international levels.”
