Elite Force Choudhary forced a massive 150-run win over Rawal County to burst into the semi-finals of the West End Park Ramadan Tournament on Monday evening.

The second team to make it to the semi-final of the tournament are Al Feroz Youngsters, who posted a seven-wicket victory over Al Hanzab.

The tournament is being hosted under the patronage of Qatar Olympic Committee secretary general HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman al-Thani.

In the first match, Elite Force hit a mammoth 200 for six after they were put into bat by Rawal County. Choudhary Iqbal scored an impressive century putting 128 runs on the board. He was supported by Imran, who pitched in with 41 runs.

In what turned out to be a difficult bowling inning, Jambeel and Shajar were among the wicket takers for Rawal County.

In reply, Rawal County was bundled out for a paltry 50 runs in 10 overs courtesy some tight and effective bowling by Usman (5 wickets) and Khalid (3 wickets).

While match officials commended Usman’s bowling performance, the Man of the Match award was presented to centurion Iqbal.

In the second match of the day, Al Hanzab won the toss and chose to bat first posting 112 for nine on board, with Arif (28 runs) and Istiaq (25 runs) among the run scorers. For Al Feroz, Inam and Nadeem scalped two wickets each.

Al Feroz batsman Faisal (59 runs) and Boota (29) ensured that their team reached the 113-run target with four overs to spare.

The next two quarter-final matches will be played between Wings Doha CC and Ramaco CC, and Doha CC and Bangladesh CC.
