Hanan defeated Al Sanabil by six wickets in the Division-I final of the 25th CDC Cricket Tournament at the Qatar Foundation Community Cricket grounds. |
Winning the toss Hanan elected to field and restricted Al Sanabil to 102 runs in 19.2 overs. The only one to show resistance was Dastageer who scored 28 runs with two sixes and a boundary while Siraj added 15 runs.
Sajjad took four wickets, while Pavez and Nazeer took two wickets each, while Imran, Mudassar and Niyamat took a wicket each.
In reply Hanan lost Opener Niyamat caught by wicket-keeper Siraj by Yasir for only three runs. However, all the batsmen played sensibly and finally Hanan easily scored 105 runs for the loss of four wickets in 13.1 overs. Sandeep was top scorer with 22 runs including two sixes and a boundary. Arif 18 runs with two sixes Nassir 13 runs and Rauf scored 12 runs. Yasir, Hassan, Asmin and Hanifa took a wicket each.
Sajjad of Hanan was declared man of the match, while Intiqab of QALCO adjudged best batsman of the tournament.
Best Bowler award went to Kusum of Al Zaman Exchange, while Raviraj of M Pallonji declared best all-rounder of the tournament.
Renil of Al Zaman Exchange was declared best wicket-keeper of the tournament.
