Al Arabi completed the signing of 31 year-old Algerian international Karim Ziani from fellow QSL outfit El Jaish on Saturday.
Ziani is now the third foreigner in the Al Arabi roster, alongside Brazilian Wandreli, Venezuela’s Meza and Bahrain’s Sayed Adnan.
“I am pleased to have opted for Al Arabi and continue playing in Qatar after several years in Europe,” he said.
The member of the 2010 World Cup Algerian squad was predominantly deployed on the right-wing with El Jaish but also has the makings of a traditional playmaker.
Ziani’s career had multiple stints at some of Europe’s biggest club, including, France’s Olympique de Marseille and Germany’s VfL Wolfsburg.
