Aspire Academy graduate scholar Abdulla al-Tamimi again demonstrated why he is one of the world’s most promising young squash players by taking out the Under-19 Dutch Junior Open on Sunday in Amsterdam.

A 3/2 victory against Peruvian third seed Diego Elias in the semi-final gave Abdulla more confidence in front of  his Mexican opponent in the final, Edgar Zayas, in a convincing three games to win the title 11-3, 11-7, 11-1.

This is Abdulla’s second major European tournament victory in as many weeks following his win at the Under 19 Pioneer Junior Cup in Germany. It was also the second year he has won this event.
