HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani with other global leaders at the opening session of the 21st Session of the Conference of the Parties (COP21) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change at Le Bourget in Paris.

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani attended yesterday the opening session of the 21st Session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 21) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) at Le Bourget in Paris.
The session was attended by heads of state, heads of delegations and senior officials, in addition to a number of civil society organisations and world institutions concerned with the environment.
The Emir met several senior global leaders on the sidelines of the COP21 summit. He held separate meetings with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Engineer Ali bin Ibrahim al-Naimi, Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Bahrain Prince Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifah, who is also Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.
During the meeting they reviewed bilateral relations and discussed means of further developing them, and also a number of issues tabled on the agenda of the conference.
