The third GCC Businesswomen Forum will be held in Doha from Tuesday.
The two-day event will be attended by Gulf-based businesswomen, experts and government officials.
The forum is being organised by Qatar Chamber (QC) and held under the patronage of its chairman, Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim al-Thani, and the Federation of GCC Chambers.
Ibtihaj al-Ahmadani, QC member and chairperson of Qatari Businesswomen Forum, said the event will be an interactive platform for women pioneers in business and entrepreneurship, who play a fundamental role in developing the region’s economy. The forum will focus on a number of key topics as well as investment incentives for women in GCC countries, besides discussing the main challenges that face them.
Further, the forum will look into ways to enhance the channels of communication among GCC and Arab businesswomen to enable them to exchange experiences and views on improving their professional performance.
Sheikh Khalifa stressed the importance of the event for business in Qatar, as it represents a vital sector of the national economy.
