Msheireb Properties, a subsidiary of Qatar Foundation, hosted the 4th annual Risk Management Forum at the Qatar National Convention Centre. The forum was attended by representatives from a wide range of sectors and industries.
The forum focused on building resilience and adding value through risk management whilst also exploring the subject of risk culture and the human factor. It also discussed issues in relation to their impact on the Gulf
region.
Topics such as adapting to international standards, public consultation in setting standards, encouraging learning and creativity in organisation to quickly adapt, were debated.
The panellists included Arn Wennekers (Ministry of Energy), Msheireb Properties officials Howard Mannella (managing principal, Alternative Resiliency Services Corporation), Carlo Loveri (business manager), Rahat Latif (head of enterprise risk management), Domenic Antonucci (chief risk officer) and Eddie McLaughlin, chief commercial officer, Europe and
Middle East Asia, at AON.
