The number of women in Qatar has exceeded 600,000 for the first time, according to the latest figures published by the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics on its website.
There are 600,065 women in a total population of 2,412,483. However the expatriate-citizen break up figures are not available.
The previous highest women's population of the country was published in the month of May, when the country had a little more than 584,000 women.
At the beginning of this month, the country's total population touched 2.4 million mark for the first time, it was reported earlier.
