HE the Minister of State for Defence Affairs Maj Gen Hamad bin Ali al-Attiyah yesterday met Turkey’s Minister of National Defence Vecdi Gonul and his accompanying delegation. HE the Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces Major General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen al-Ghanem, Turkish ambassador to Qatar Ahmet Demirok and a number of senior commanders of the Armed Forces attended the meeting. Talks during the meeting covered bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them in the military field. The Minister of State for Defence Affairs also met with the Malaysian Chief of Defence Force General Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr Haji Zulkifeli bin Mohamed Zin and his accompanying delegation. The meeting was attended by the Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces and Malaysian ambassador Dato’ Ahmad Jazri bin Mohamed Johar.
