Al Khalij Commercial Bank (al khaliji) has announced that it recently reached a milestone in its efforts to attract local talent and future leaders.
The bank has achieved 100% of its Qatarisation goals and objectives across its expanding network of branches within Qatar. This initiative is in line with the bank’s commitment to align itself with Qatar National Vision 2030, al khaliji said in a statement yesterday.
“Currently, all of al khaliji network branches are under the leadership and guidance of Qatari branch managers. This further consolidates al khaliji’s deep commitment to enabling local talent to take a more active role in shaping the future of the bank. Our management team is thus able to better accommodate the needs of premium and private banking clients,” the statement noted.
Fahad al-Khalifa, al khaliji’s Group CEO, said: “We are proud to announce that al khaliji has achieved its main objective of reaching 100% Qatarisation in management positions across all our branches, and this is in line with the al khaliji board of directors’ recommendation.
“The bank strives to hire and retain qualified Qatari nationals who can represent the bank and its commitment to recognising local talent. Currently, all of our branches are under the guidance and leadership of Qatari nationals.”
As part of its strategic Qatarisation plan, al khaliji welcomes Qatari graduates into its ranks and offers training and mentoring programmes, professional development opportunities and incentives to build a career in the banking and financial industry.
In addition, local talents hired in Qatar can further develop their skills in the financial industry and expand their career horizons by engaging with the network of branches in the UAE and France, the statement adds.
