Qatar University (QU) has participated in the 27th annual European Association for International Education (EAIE) conference in Glasgow, Scotland.
QU presented an information booth at the exhibition on the sidelines of the conference that was organised by EAIE. The university’s participation came as part of its strategic plan 2013-2016 to showcase its myriad of undergraduate and graduate programmes, and to promote many areas of collaboration opportunities with regional and
international institutions.
The university was represented by QU External Relations Department Marketing and Communications manager Masoud Nasser al-Yami who welcomed many visitors to the booth, including representatives of international universities. Visitors were briefed on QU academic programmes, courses, admission criteria and entry requirements.
Al-Yami said, “QU is pleased to participate in such an international forum that brings together universities, higher education institutions and researchers from around the world and from which will emerge invaluable opportunities to network, collaborate and share experiences. This highlights the university’s commitment to advancing regional and international dialogue on higher education quality and strengthening its international reputation for sound academic and research exchanges and partnerships.”
Al-Yami also pointed to the conference’s programme agenda that included topics important to Qatar University and which the QU team communicated to visitors to the booth such as study abroad opportunities, STEM, and the link between student accommodation and success.
