Leaders greet Mali president
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, HH the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani yesterday sent cables of congratulations to Malian President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita on the anniversary of his country’s Independence Day.


Envoy meets businessmen
Qatar’s Ambassador to Russia Saud Abdullah al-Mahmoud yesterday met in Moscow with businessmen and representatives of Russian companies at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russian Federation at the invitation of Russian-Arab Business Council. The meeting was attended by more than 100 businessmen representing companies, factories and economic, agricultural, oil, and technological institutions among others.


Ties reviewed

Italian Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Danilo Errico yesterday met in Rome with Qatar’s Ambassador Abdulaziz bin Ahmed al-Malki al-Juhani. During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on current issues, bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest.
lSenegal’s Minister for Water and Sanitation Mansour Faye met Qatar’s Ambassador Sarai bin Ali al-Qahtani. Talks covered bilateral relations and ways of enhancing co-operation between the two countries.


Nojoom points redemption at Ooredoo shops
Ooredoo has announced that for the first time ever, Nojoom members will be able to use their Nojoom points to buy devices and accessories from Ooredoo shops. “The decision to enable members to redeem points at Ooredoo shops for devices and accessories is in response to popular demand, as more and more people in Qatar look to enjoy Ooredoo’s Supernet,” the company said in a statement. With more than 150 redemption partners available, adding Ooredoo shops to the list offers members the chance to get some of the most technologically advanced and affordable smartphone devices in Qatar with their Nojoom points, the statement noted. Members can redeem via the Ooredoo website and will also be able to redeem via the app in the coming weeks.Fatima Sultan al-Kuwari, director of community and public relations at Ooredoo, said: “Enabling customers to now use their points in Ooredoo shops is a natural evolution of the programme.” Every Ooredoo customer with a Qatar ID can enrol into Nojoom, and redemptions can be made by logging into their account at www.ooredoo.qa/nojoom or by downloading the Ooredoo app.


Embassy holiday
The Indian embassy will remain closed tomorrow on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, it was announced yesterday.
