Lagoona Mall will host a football memorabilia exhibition, featuring “rare and exclusive” collections, from today.

The specially curated exhibition presents a collection of jerseys, signed boots, original footballs used during World Cup games, special stories on some of the greatest footballers and more. The event will also raise awareness on the growth and evolution of football and its acceptance as the world’s leading spectator sport.
The collection includes 50 original jerseys from the icons of football, such as Pelé, Maradona, Del Piero, Messi, Ronaldo, Matthaus, Platini and Ibrahimovic, among others; 12 original footballs used in various World Cup games; 11 pairs of original shoes worn in official matches; and special stories about four legends - Pelé, Alcides Ghiggia, George Best and Mia Hamm, who helped promote the globally revered sport, among others.
The exhibition also features a 5x2m screen sponsored by FNAC, where visitors will be able to participate in a gaming competition to win a jersey signed by Cristiano Ronaldo. In addition, they will also have a chance to try the FIFA 16 set to be launched on September 24.
“The exhibition promises ‘edutainment’ for all sports enthusiasts and football fanatics in Qatar,” the statement adds.
